The residential weekend

A very successful residential weekend was held at PGL Liddington between the dates of 14th and 16th October 2012. Over 200 young people from all six unitary authorities participating on the PUPIL Scheme took part in the weekend. The young people took part in a range of activities including:

  • Aeroball
  • Jacobs Ladder
  • Raft building
  • Kayaking
  • Trapeze
  • Zip wire
  • Giant Swing

We are thrilled to announce that Police Personnel from South Wales Police and Gwent Police participated in this event! Thanks to all concerned. I don’t know who had more fun the staff or the children!

Everyone is now looking forward to next year and work is under way organising the next event.

Team building weekend

Every September pupils from all of the comprehensive schools and Special Schools are given the opportunity to attend an outdoor pursuit centre for an activity weekend

  1. There is NO COST for the weekend
  2. The weekend is entirely funded by The Cynon Valley Crime Prevention Association
  3. It is supervised by members of staff from The Crime Prevention Association

The young people get to meet and mix with others from across the six unitary authorities while improving their social skills, teamwork skills, communication skills and self esteem whilst enjoying a fabulous activity experience.

The typical activities include...
Kayaking and canoeing
Abseilling and Climbing
High ropes courses
Archery
Zip wire
Trapeze
Jacobs ladder
...to mention a few!
